Adobe Flash FAQs

1. I heard that Adobe was doing away with Flash. What does that mean for Quaver?

Adobe recently announced they will stop supporting the Flash plug-in entirely by December 31, 2020. We’ve been anticipating this announcement and converting our content to non-Flash for the past two years. As of August 2018, Much of QuaverMusic.com is now available without the use of Adobe Flash. The teacher experience is nearly identical in both formats, as all QuaverMusic teaching content is now available in non-Flash programming languages. If accessing QuaverMusic on a device that allows Flash, however, you will still have the option to access additional student resources in Quaver’s World that do require the use of Flash. We plan to complete our conversion of all these resources by the Summer of 2019.

2. Which QuaverMusic.com Experience should I choose?

When accessing QuaverMusic.com on a device that allows Flash, you will be prompted to choose the experience you prefer.

With Flash
Users will be taken to the Quaver Street, where they can access all of Quaver’s World in Flash. The Teacher or Student tab will load all teaching resources and assigned student resources optimized for any device, iOS included. Teachers will have access to Quaver’s Classic Creatives and Creative Lite applications, simplified version of QBackBeat, QComposer, and QGrooves.
Without Flash
Users will be taken directly to their Teacher or Student Dashboard, skipping the Quaver Street, to find all teaching resources and assigned student resources accessible on any device, iOS included. At this time, this experience does not include Quaver’s World apps, games, or contests and features Creative Lite applications, simplified versions of QBackBeat, QComposer, and QGrooves.

Select the Quaver Street to access the classic QuaverMusic.com experience and follow the prompts in your browser to allow Flash. Select the Quaver Dashboard to continue to the new, experience without Flash. The Quaver team is working to translate remaining student resources out of Flash by August 2019.

3. What resources are currently out of Flash?

  • Animated Lyrics Pages
  • Full Score Pages
